Meditation Essentials: Appreciate Everything
Pick up an object that is near you-perhaps a book or a glass. Place the object at a comfortable distance for your gaze. Try to look at the object intently, but without staring(allow your eyelids to relax a little to help you with this). Focus on the object so that it fills your consciousness, and become aware of its uniqueness and beauty. Muse on the idea that there is value in even the most commonplace of objects.
