The Zen garden is used in meditation to remind us that even the most basic things-rocks, sand, gravel, water-embody the pure reality of being. Allow your consciousness to flow in the way that the naked gravel "flows" around the rocks. Consider how your awareness is pure and clear when it is free from distracting thoughts. Acknowledge your innate understanding of the pure essence of reality.
Even if you cannot access this understanding now, it will reveal itself in its own time.
