Relapse Mistake #3: Abruptly Stopping a Nutrition Program or Exercise Program

Many times people who have been successful in taking off weight and body fat take for granted that this was the result of weeks and weeks of serious effort. You would think this would be common sense, but research says otherwise.

One study on long-term maintenance sponsored by the Kaiser Permanente HMO organization said that relapsers seemed to believe on some level that their lost weight was "permanently gone" and they were surprised when they found themselves heavy again.
