I began to truly love and enjoy writing my thoughts onto my blog as well as sharing so much of the information I have accumulated in my (almost) 50 years on Earth as well as my 27 years in private practice as a psychotherapist and years of spiritual training.
The blog began to take on a life of its own. My patients were reading it and learning more about me and many of the entries became topics of our sessions together. I was able to attract a large group of potential patients, clients, and students into my practice. Many of my friends and colleagues kept up with me through my blog and learned more about the way I practice, services I offer and who I truly am. I have even reconnected with old friends and acquaintances from my past who came across my blog.
When I sit down at my desk each day, I meditate first about what to write based on what I am experiencing in that moment. Once I begin to type, I feel the pure flow of passion and excitement in my being as I hit the keystrokes. (Of course, I have to send it on over to Mike for type checking due to my dyslexia prior to posting!)
Then, my Dad fell gravely ill in December of 2008. My relationship with my Father had been one of great difficulty for so many years. I blogged on his illness, hospitalization, and subsequent death each day. The blog itself helped me to come to terms with his dying as well as providing me with a cathartic outlet to express what I was experiencing.
I will continue to blog each working day here at my office. I truly appreciate how many wonderful relationships I have in my life. I have met so many people through my blog, many whom I may never meet in person. It has proven to be an amazing experience to share my thoughts, services, and musings on the web. My friends enjoy reading my blog as well as so many patients and clients. I have used this blog to make me a better psychotherapist, fitness trainer, teacher, hypnotherapist and human being.
Thank you all so much for supporting me in this effort. I appreciate all of you who take the time to see what is up with me, share your thoughts and comments, and see what I have to write about each day.
With LOVE to all, NAMASTE,
(Dr.) CREW
