THE MEANING OF COMMUNICATION IS SIMPLY THE RESPONSE YOU RECEIVE FROM THE OTHER PERSON
Have you ever tried to explain something to someone and they just don't "get it"? This presupposition from NLP is a quick reminder that YOU are in charge of the results of your communication with others. Of course, it is easy to place blame on others for their just not "getting it." And, unfortunately, many people will go through their entire lives blaming others for their poor results. This presupposition goes way beyond a simple interaction with someone because it applies to our non-verbal communication as well.
Remember, you are ALWAYS communicating SOMETHING! We need to learn how to do it effectively so we can increase the ability to achieve the results we desire.
