ZAZEN

The word Zazen means, "to sit in Zen."

This is the term which is commonly used to describe formal seated meditation.

Sit down, cross your legs. Focus your half-closed eyes on a spot on the floor approximately three feet in front of you.

With each in-breath, count the number, "One."
With each out-breath, count the number, "two."
"One, Two,", "One, Two.", "One, Two."

Do not let yourself think.
When a thought comes to your mind, watch it fly away like a beautiful bird on a scenic horizon.

Refocus.
"One, Two.", "One, Two.", "One, Two."
