Dr. Crew's NLP Lessons #24

SMART GOAL-SETTING

SMART goal-setting strategy helps provide a clearer focus in an agreed time frame.
SMART goal-setting is:

S Specific and positive
M Measurable and meaningful to you
A Achievable and covering all areas of your life, stated in the present tense as if you have achieved it now
R Realistic and right for you
T Timed and targeted, towards what you want

Setting your outcome involves taking time to consider your goal or what you want to achieve--what will be important to you, what you will gain, and how it links into your overall plan professionally and personally.

Many people set goals and wonder why they have not achieved them. Often, it is because they have focused on what they cannot do rather than on the positive steps required to achieve their aim.
