Meditation Essentials: Focus On Birdsong

Meditating on birdsong can soothe a troubled mind. Imagine your anxieties as the cacophony of animal sounds you might hear on a farm. Then, above the background hubbub, imagine hearing the clear, soaring notes of a musical songbird. As you focus on the bird's singing, notice that all of the other noises fade away. Recall this technique when faced with anxieties in the future-it will help give you the clarity to face and resolve them.
