Meditation Essentials: Chant A Mantra

Buddhist and Hindu traditions believe in the power of sacred sounds to harmonize the human soul with cosmic forces. A traditional mantra is the sound "OM" (pronounced A-U-M), but you can use any simple word that is particularly meaningful to you. It could be "peace", or "calm", or "light".

Chant your mantra slowly and rhythmically, letting the sound resonate through you and all around you.
