Gatha for after a meal:
My plate is empty.
My hunger is satisfied and my body's strength is fully restored.
I use my power for the benefit of all.
May all beings have the nourishment they need.
To eat in the Zen way, every bite and crumb should be fully and completely tasted.
If you are present in your eating, you can't binge.
You may find more enjoyment in healthful foods.
If you savor every bite of chocolate or French fries, you won't need much.
