Can a drug provide you with enlightenment?
A drug may make you feel good.
A drug may provide you with new experiences.
A drug may even cause you to see visions that you believe to be real.
What is reality?
Is real not what is real?
If a drug could give you enlightenment, why do the effects of a drug fade away--leaving you only with the memory of the experience?
NIRVANA is,
Without anything else.
