Meditation Benefits


A short daily meditation practice could be all you need to boost your mental health. A small UCLA study found that those at a high rate for stress and depression, lowered their depression levels and improved their overall emotional health by meditating for 12 minutes a day.
The research found that the benefits went all the way to the cellular level. Stress can cause telomeres (protective caps on the end of DNA strands that are associated with health and aging) to deteriorate more quickly.
