Music Therapy

If someone you love is recovering from a stroke, you might want to consider music therapy to help improve mobility.

Recovering from a stroke can be a long and arduous process, but as long as you continue to challenge yourself, you can still continue to learn. Music therapy, provided by trained therapists, is one way to help improve stroke patients’ movement, according to a Cochrane Review of seven studies. Certain music tempos can stimulate movement and improve walking ability in patients. Research suggests that music therapy may also be useful in helping people recover from other types of brain injury.
