Relinquishing Control / Taoist doctrine

The Master does his job; and then stops.
He(She) understands that the universe is forever out of control;
and that trying to dominate events;
goes against the current of the Tao.

Trying to control the future
is like trying to take the Master carpenter's place.
When you handle the Master's tools;
chances are you'll cut your hand.

Oy! Now my head really hurts! I think I need to take a mini vacation from trying to figure it all out. I don't know what we are doing this weekend but whatever it is it will involve spending lots of time in nature - just meditating - and NO thinking!

Hi Anonymous. I think being in nature is a great way to relax. I also think that meditating gives us the chance to actually STOP thinking in the traditional sense. It often can open up avenues of communication with other parts of ourselves that are underutilized when we are anxious or cognitively thinking too much. Feel better. Please feel free to identify yourself. Dr. Crew

Sorry, Crew, I forgot to sign my comment. It's Terri. I'm not sure if you saw my answer to your question about how I'm doing with my final exam (my 2nd comment to your EFT blog) but this new blog post of yours seemed a timely response to how I've been feeling lately.
