At about 11:40 am, Michael and I went home to check on Jake. He yelled out when I touched him, and he was extremely weak. I took him out of the cat condo and laid him on his bed. He began to chain stoke as Mike and I pet him and told him it was OK for him to go. He stopped breathing after about 5 minutes, and two minutes later his heart stopped. He died about 11:50 am this morning with us petting him and loving him.
Thank you all so very much for your kind words and concern for Jacob. He was a wonderful, sweet, and loving boy who will be missed by his "parents" and "brother" and three "sisters". Jake was 12 years and two months old.
