Meditate on an attachment you would like to be rid of - an addiction or dependence you have.
Visualize yourself walking across a landscape toward a place you want to be.
There is a rope tied to you and on the other end is a box carrying the attachment.
You take a knife and cut the rope, making the conscious decision to let go of the attachment.
This is a turning point.
The rest of the walk is easier now that you have let go of the attachment.
