Want to be a hero? Sign up for a CPR class.
If someone is having a heart attack, performing CPR on them can triple their chance to survive.
A recent study in the Annals of Internal Medicine shows that your odds of surviving a heart attack depend on whether someone is nearby who can perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Do your best to protect those close to you, like family and neighbors, by signing up for a one-day course. You can find classes through your local chapter of the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
