FIND THE COURAGE TO ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT.
OTHERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO TELL YOU "YES" OR "NO", BUT YOU ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK.
LIKEWISE, EVERYBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO ASK YOU FOR WHAT THEY WANT, AND YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY "YES" OR "NO".

    Short and sweet and to the point. I agree, asking, is just like others might say, "putting it out to the universe". It's amazing what can happen when you just ask. As you have pointed out, sometimes you will get a "yes" and sometimes a "no" and that should be respected.
